In a few weeks we’ll be gathering in our studio space at Phoenix College to celebrate the Joy of WordPress at WordCamp Phoenix 2024. Whether you’ve never installed WordPress before, or are an experienced guru, we believe that WordPress is the canvas of the web. WordCamp is the perfect place to gain the knowledge, tools and resources to make your domain your own.

Our second round of speakers for WordCamp 2024 include subject matter experts who’ll be sharing their knowledge about leadership in tech, content marketing with storytelling, interactivity APIs, ACF Blocks and development automations with GitHub actions. You can still purchase your tickets to attend WordCamp Phoenix 2024. We’re currently accepting volunteers during WordCamp- there are many different ways to pitch in and be part of the team.

  • Yvonne Gonzalez

    Yvonne Gonzalez is CEO of YG Consulting, LLC, an organizational development and coaching firm focused on empowering leaders and transforming workplace culture through talent development workshops, coaching, and consulting services for leaders and their teams. With more than 15 years of experience leading multi-million dollar human resource initiatives at Rutgers University, Yvonne specializes in helping organizations create sustainable people-focused talent development and belonging initiatives that establish the organizational mindset, practice, and positive culture needed for all employees to thrive. Her focus is especially for women and underrepresented minorities in science and technology fields. Yvonne is pursuing a Masters in Human Resource Management and is a certified coach and facilitator through Gallup Inc., Positive Intelligence, and Leader Factor.

  • Winstina Hughes

    Winstina Hughes is helping tech refactor towards a more equitable and accessible future by empowering underrepresented voices as the founder of Support Inclusion in Tech. She welcomed 43 speakers, 400 attendees and secured $64,000 in sponsorships while leading a phenomenal team of 18 for a world class WordCamp NYC, proving diverse voices fuel innovation. Winstina co-organizes a vibrant community of more than 9,500 WordPress enthusiasts in New York City. Join her as she dives into building a more inclusive and thriving open-source community!

  • Mer Norwood

    Merichelle – pen name “Mer Norwood”– is a content marketer and travel writer based in Phoenix. She has created content for Best Western® Hotels & Resorts, Red Mountain Weight Loss, Phoenix New Times, Downtown Phoenix, Downtown Tempe, Visit Mesa, Discover Gilbert, Discover Bisbee, and Greater Phoenix Economic Council. Catch her at a cafe sipping mocha lattes and scribbling away.

    Merichelle has been featured in AZ Central, The Know Book: 100 Women To Do Business With, Voyage Phoenix, Shoutout Arizona, and Canvas Rebel.

    She is also founder of the blog, She Moves PHX.

  • Robert Richardson

    Robert Richardson founded PeakZebra in 2020 to build tools to enhance user interaction on WordPress and static React-based sites. Previously he served as editorial director of TechTarget’s Security Media Group, responsible for SearchSecurity.com and Information Security Magazine. Prior to TechTarget, he was editorial director at the Black Hat security conference. He spent several years as the director of the Computer Security Institute. He’s given keynote presentations on three continents.

  • Steve Ryan

    Steve Ryan is a WordPress engineer for the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. His interests include basketball, tennis, chess, and manipulating his two kids into doing their homework. A husband and a father. Immensely proud to be a part of this community. Favorite colors are maroon and gold. #goDevils

  • Micah Wood

    Micah is a WordPress developer at Bluehost. He’s a WordPress core contributor, plugin developer, and meetup organizer and has spent the last 15 years learning, living, and building with WordPress.
