At WordCamp Phoenix, we are not just organizing a conference; we’re cultivating a community. A community thrives when it is composed of diverse voices, ideas, and perspectives. As organizers, we take it upon ourselves to ensure that our event serves as a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive space for everyone involved — be it speakers, attendees, or organizers.
Our mission extends beyond mere tolerance to active celebration of diversity. We strive to create a platform where professionals from varying backgrounds can exchange ideas, insights, and experiences. To achieve this, we intentionally aim to uplift voices that have been historically marginalized within the tech industry, including but not limited to women, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color), LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and individuals at all career levels.
Accessibility and Inclusivity
We understand that accessibility is a cornerstone of inclusivity. Therefore, we are fully committed to making our venue and events as accessible as possible. On request, we offer sign language interpreters, closed captioning, and other accommodations in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Zero Tolerance for Harassment and Discrimination
We maintain a zero-tolerance stance on harassment, discrimination, and any form of exclusionary behavior whether in person at the event or otherwise. This applies to everyone involved with WordCamp Phoenix, including attendees, sponsors, and organizers. For a detailed understanding of what we consider unacceptable behavior, please consult our WordCamp Code of Conduct.
Open Lines of Communication
