We are thrilled to announce Co+Hoots Founder, Jenny Poon, and CEO, Odeen Domingo, as the keynote speakers for WordPress 2024, to be held at Phoenix College February 9-10, 2024.
In their keynote, “The Magic of Building Something from Nothing” they will speak about how to find your path to success by learning how to identify needs, and seize opportunities, while building things that are impactful and worthwhile.
Speaking from their experience, Poon and Domingo currently provide a home to more than 280 entrepreneurs, startups and small businesses in Phoenix at Co+Hoots, the first coworking space built in Phoenix. They’ve been deeply involved in building an inclusive innovation ecosystem in Arizona since 2010, when they recognized the need for a Hub for emerging entrepreneurs in Phoenix.
Committed to removing barriers for communities of color, lifting up entrepreneurs, and providing immersive business incubation, they are passionate about their mission to create equity in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
When thinking of who would best represent Phoenix and the theme of The Joy of WordPress for WordCamp 2024, the choice was clear. We’re very excited to have Jenny and Odeen share their perspective as local entrepreneurs who have built Co+Hoots from the ground up. They have created the premier coworking space in Phoenix, which has also been recognized as the number one most innovative coworking space in the world.
Meet Jenny
Jenny serves as an advisor for numerous startups, Board Chair of CO+HOOTS Foundation (a 501c3 nonprofit) and as a mentor for several young entrepreneurs. Named Phoenix Business Journal’s 2016 Phoenix Businessperson of the Year Jenny is the first minority and the first woman to receive the honor.
Meet Odeen
Odeen co-founded nonprofit CO+HOOTS Foundation, sits on several committees of local nonprofits and serves as a mentor for young and experienced entrepreneurs. He transitioned to the entrepreneurship realm after his 14-year career as a content strategist and award-winning journalist at The Arizona Republic, Orange County Register and Los Angeles Times.
