Announcing our Seventh Round of Speakers

In a little over a month, some of the best and brightest in the WordPress community will be descending on Downtown Phoenix for WordCamp Phoenix 2019!

We’re thrilled to be offering two days of sessions with three tracks in addition to longer, deep-dive workshops at the Phoenix Convention Center in February. We’ll also be running a Contributor Day where anyone can get involved with contributing to the WordPress Project with code, design, writing, translation, marketing and more!

Rahul has been working in the web hosting industry since 2005 and started using WordPress in 2008. Since then he has helped scale web and cloud infrastructure for General Mills, Saks, CSX, and PetSmart. Rahul is now the co-founder and CEO at ScaleDynamix, where he manages 10,000+ WordPress and WooCommerce sites.

Jeremy Scott first used WordPress around the time of version 1.3 and has been using it for business and personal projects ever since. Today, he has his hands in many honeypots, including freelance advanced WordPress development, running a small premium WordPress plugin for staffing agencies, and running a creativity and education venture that educates with LEGOs.

WP101 Beginner’s Workshop Registration Now Open

WordCamp Phoenix was one of the first WordCamps to include a WP101 workshop and we continue this tradition in 2019 as we celebrate 10 years of WordCamps in the Valley of the Sun.

Whether you’re brand new to websites, want an introduction to WordPress or are in need of a refresh, this workshop (over 2.5 hours!) is a great way to get hands-on guidance on Friday morning so you can benefit from subsequent sessions! Free, temporary web hosting accounts with WordPress preinstalled will be provided for all workshop attendees.

Due to high demand and nature of this workshop, we are requiring attendees to register in advance, though there is no additional cost.

Where? WordCamp Phoenix at the Phoenix Convention Center.
When? Friday, February 15th 2019 from 9:30 AM to 11:55 AM.
Who? This workshop will be led by Jamie Schmid.
What (should I bring)? Please bring a fully-charged laptop or tablet.
