Reminder: Contributor Day and Popup Event for WordPress Organizers at Galvanize today

Quick reminder to all who came out for WordCamp Phoenix this week: the fun isn’t over yet! Today at Galvanize, February 17, we’re hosting a Contributor Day as well as a Popup Event for learning how to organize WordPress events.

Sunday, February 17, 12pm – 4pm | Sunday Schedule

Contribute to WordPress

WordPress is a vast army of volunteers and it takes an army to keep innovating and growing! If you’re new to contributing, you can check out https://make.wordpress.org to find a team you’re interested in.

Maybe you’re good at writing or editing (Docs, Marketing), or writing code (Core, Meta), or you speak a second language (Polyglots), or even have a passion for making sure everyone can enjoy WordPress (Accessibility). These are just a few of the many contributor teams who work together to make WordPress; everyone has something to offer and we all make it better together.

Learn How to Organize Events

At the same time as the Contributor Day, we’ll also be hosting a first-of-its-kind Popup Event centered learning how to organize WordPress events. Take this rare opportunity to tap into the collective knowledge of some of the greatest minds in the community to help you graduate from meetup or WordCamp attendee to future organizer!

We’ll be hosting panels on organzing meetups, organizing WordCamps, and how to leverage sponsorship for your WordPress events. Check out the Sunday schedule for a the full list of programming.
