WordCamp Phoenix is almost back-in-session! We\u2019re so excited to open up our halls of knowledge, welcoming familiar faces and new faces alike to Downtown Phoenix for our 10th anniversary of WordCamp Phoenix.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We have some information below to help make this a successful weekend of learning and fun for all. We also recommend following our Twitter<\/a>, Instagram<\/a> and News Blog<\/a> as we continue to announce more details and updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s truly a privilege to serve the Arizona and greater WordPress community — folks that care about one another and who are so generous with their time, finances and talents to help us put together such a fun event each year. WordCamp Phoenix will be on the 1st Floor of the West Building<\/strong>, which is between 2nd and 3rd streets just south of Monroe Street \u2014 the nearest entrance from the street is across from the Hyatt Regency Phoenix and anyone parking in the West Garage should come up to the ground floor (1st floor). More on parking and transit below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 515 E Grant Street Phoenix, AZ 85004<\/a><\/strong>, between 5th and 7th streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 8:00 am – Registration Opens 9:00 am – Registration Opens 12:00 pm – Contributor Day Begins No need to print tickets or save them \u2014 just give your name at registration and we\u2019ll give you a badge and swag bag!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We do recommend considering bringing the following with you:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Check out our three tracks of sessions and workshops on the website<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n Paid parking will be available onsite at the Phoenix Convention Center in the West Garage for $12\/day<\/strong> (beneath the building with our event), limited adjacent street parking is available and there are a number of nearby garages and lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The West Garage Entrance is located at 185 N 2nd Street<\/a><\/strong>. Please note that Monroe Street will be shut down between 2nd and 3rd streets for our lunch.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n We also recommend taking advantage of free Park-and-Ride locations throughout Greater Phoenix along the METRO Light Rail. The closest stations are a few minutes walk from the West Building. The nearest Westbound station (trains from Tempe\/Mesa) is 3rd St\/Washington and the nearest Eastbound station (trains from North Phoenix) is 3rd St\/Jefferson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Free parking will be available at Galvanize for the Afterparty and Contributor Day. There are a few hundred spots available, as well as limited, free street parking and across the street is a large lot that charges $5.35\/day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Earlier today we shared the exciting news<\/a> that our Saturday After Party will be at Galvanize Phoenix, as well as lunch menus from our local caterer Conceptually Social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether you\u2019re coming from out-of-state or haven\u2019t been to Downtown Phoenix in recent years, we\u2019ve compiled a list of some great local restaurants, bars and coffee shops<\/a> in our flourishing food scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A reminder that everyone in attendance is expected to follow our Code of Conduct<\/a> at all event functions and venues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our venues prohibit carrying firearms, except by on-duty law enforcement officers with jurisdiction and our event’s weapons policy extends to cover knives, fireworks and other items intended to cause injury to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
