Limited Number of Walk-In Tickets Available

If you missed the boat on grabbing your ticket to WordCamp Phoenix, you have another shot. We have a limited number of walk-in tickets available for certain classes on Friday and for the full weekend. To secure your WordCamp ticket, come to registration on Friday to purchase your ticket.

Friday Class Locations
Friday classes will be held at various locations in Downtown Chandler, not at the Chandler Center for the Arts. (See map below)

  • WP101 and 201 will be held at the Community Center at 125 E. Commonwealth Avenue.
  • WP301 will be held at the library at 22 S. Delaware Street
  • WP401 will be held at Gangplank at 260 S. Arizona Ave.

Registration
There will be two different locations for registration.
WP101, 201 and 301 registration will be held in front of the community center. Park in the parking areas noted below and proceed to the Community Center marked with an X on the map.
WP 401 – Registration and the event will be held at Gangplank. Park in the parking garage and proceed west across AZ Avenue to the X indicating Gangplank.

WP201
The WP 201 class is full and we continue to get requests for this class. Due to the high demand, we will begin a waiting list for the class at registration on Friday at 7:00 am. If attendees have not arrived to WP201 by Friday morning at 8:15, we will begin to release the seats to the people on the top of the waiting list. If you are in 201 and want to make sure to keep your spot, please make sure to arrive before 8:15.

I have been waiting for a year to attend this event and I plan to attend next years event also. I have even recommended the 101 class for my clients. If you own a WordPress website and are living in or around the phoenix metro area, you need to attend this event.

Is it still possible to purchase a ticket for the Friday 101 class only? If so, how?

  4. Can we mix and match 101 and 201 classes, based on our level? how do we know what we signed up for? I bought a ticket for all three days, but not sure if I signed up for a specific line of 101 classes?

We have created the Foundation Friday classes to match the level of the student, so it is intended that a student would stay in the one track all day, as the courses and topics build upon one another.

      WordPress 101 – Capacity 110 – Chandler Community Center: Room 110
Crafted for the absolute website novice, these classes will be a hands-on start at the beginning and will cover everything from downloading, installing to setting up WordPress.

      WordPress 201 – Capacity 110 – Chandler Community Center: Room 111
Moving on from the basics, these intermediate classes will cover topics like intro to site mapping, content strategy, information architecture, design and user experience. You will learn to be a WordPress “power user” including how to backup, extend, promote and secure your WordPress installation.

We have spots for 101 still available, but 201 is on a waiting list at this time due to overwhelming demand. You can show up at 7am for Friday Registration at the Chandler Community Center and we’ll get you squared away.

There’s more information about the Foundation Friday here:

how do we know what we signed up for?

When you registered, you received a confirmation email with a link in it. The subject line of that email reads, “Your Ticket to WordCamp Phoenix 2013″. Inside this email is a link to your ticket. Click the link to edit your ticket and select your class.

I bought a ticket for all three days, but not sure if I signed up for a specific line of 101 classes?

Check your registration form using the link inside the ticket e-mail and you’ll have this. But if you want 101, just show up at registration and we’ll get you in. 🙂
